Professional Development Opportunities

The NH Vision/Hearing Network staff strives to provide school teams with the tools and information they need to effectively support students who have a hearing or vision disability. We strive to offer workshops that will be of immediate and practical use, and welcome suggestions for future workshop topics. Workshops are available at the NH Vision/Hearing Network office in Concord, or you can arrange for workshops to be delivered at your school. A full and up-to date list of workshops and other professional development events is available on our website, and is mailed to schools and families in the Fall and Spring of each year. Please feel free to call 226-2900 to request a workshop flyer, to request a topic or a speaker of interest, or to arrange for professional development activities at your own school. Schools that are registered for services through the NHVHN are eligible to receive one professional development activity per year at their school at no cost to them.

Custom Workshops

Assistive Technology workshops are furnished to individuals and groups throughout the year. Our workshops range from Basic Introduction to AT and its Benefits to customized programs on Software Applications; Prospective Memory Aids; and Fabrication Tools, Techniques, and Materials. We pride ourselves on the fact that most of our workshops enable participants to acquire hands-on experience.
