ATECH Service's Exploration Center

The Exploration Center provides individuals, families, employers, and school teams with numerous assistive technology (AT) services including the opportunity to explore the variety of AT solutions that promote independence and function while participating in home, school, work, and play.

The user-friendly technology exploration center provides the opportunity to 'test drive' AT solutions. Visitors to the center can explore: a) computer access hardware and software; b) alternative and augmentative communication devices; c) adapted toys; d) switches; e) independent living aids; f) ergonomic tools; g) workstations; h) seat cushions; i) electronic aids for daily living; and j) assorted tools and materials for the fabrication/modification of low-cost assistive technology solutions.

Personalized technical support is available to discuss the scope of AT and its various applications. Our one-on-one guidance and trouble shooting assistance address the challenges that you or your organization might face while utilizing a piece of equipment or software. This support is available at the TEC center, in the community, or via the telephone.

Exploration of Used Home Medical Equipment (REM)

The REM provides a variety of ways for equipment exploration. The REM Showroom in Concord provides customers the opportunity to examine and test quality equipment (both pediatric and adult). Pictures of equipment are available via email/website. Most equipment is available for exploration and evaluation purposes through a participating therapist for one week at no charge. There is also a 7(seven) day return policy for purchases.
